INFORMATION ABOUT THE REGION
Kitzbühel is an Austrian town in the Tyrol, whose name means the chamois hill. It is a winter sports resort, mainly focused on alpine skiing and considered in the field as one of the most beautiful plateaus offered, thanks in particular to the Streif, its downhill run, considered by many as the most difficult and prestigious in the world. Located on the Hahnenkamm mountain, this run is the venue for one of the most important annual events of the Alpine Skiing World Cup, hosting a super-G, a downhill, a slalom and a combined.
Tyrol is an Alpine region in central Europe. It extends over the eastern Alps, part of Austria and Italy.
