As the last stop before the crossing to Africa, the old port of Portocolom, on the eastern coast of the island of Mallorca, could well become once again a place of refuge, as it was for the sailors of old, during the cold winter season.
The charming fishing village of Portocolom, nicknamed "Es Port" by its inhabitants, is the most beautiful natural harbour on Mallorca. It is even said that Christopher Columbus ("Cristòfor Colom" in Catalan) was born here... hence the name! It is a very popular seaside destination because of its coves with crystal clear waters, but it has managed to preserve its authentic spirit to be discovered even in winter on/under the sea as well as on/under the land.
The brand new Barefoot Hotel opened its doors in July 2022 in this picturesque little village. Perfectly integrated into the beautiful landscape and the local people, it is a sanctuary that offers peace and relaxation to Balearic lovers.
